On the feast of the Annunciation, March 25, 2026, the Saint John the Baptist Pro-Life League was honored with the Ruth V. K. Pakaluk Pro-Life Youth Award by the Diocese of Worcester. Cecily Rochman, President of the League for 2026, accepted the award from Bishop Robert McManus during the annual Mass for Life at the Cathedral of Saint Paul in Worcester, MA.
Traditionally, the award is presented annually to a young person who has demonstrated heroic witness to the intrinsic value of every human life. This year marked the first time it was bestowed upon a group of youth.
In a letter dated March 2 announcing the award, the Respect Life Office wrote, “We are grateful for your tremendous leadership and the beautiful formation of the young men and women at Immaculate Heart of Mary School, which sets an example to others of what it means to build a Culture of Life. We are delighted that Bishop McManus has selected you to receive this award.”
The entire school was honored to receive this award and the League members were grateful to witness the event.
