Not too many schools now-a-days are allowed to celebrate Christmas… but here at IHM it is the complete opposite! The more we can decorate, sing carols and celebrate the better!
Saint Nicholas loves to stop by on his feastday, December 6th, and that gets everyone into the festive spirit! As the big Nativity scene goes up on the front lawn, the small ones are going up inside each classroom! Carols are practiced and the pageant rehearsed… and then it is time for the IHM Christmas Program!
This year's show was one of the best ever! Grades 1 & 2 got everything started with the pageant from the angle of the Christmas Star; then it was carols and customs from Spain, Germany, Poland and France in "Christmas in Europe" performed by Grades 3 – 6. The IHM Band, comprised of students in Grades 7 – 12, finished off the evening with their concert of Christmas music! It was a fantastic and festive evening leaving everyone with warm hearts and humming a song! Well done, students!
